The United States national Air Force demonstration team, the Thunderbirds, are set to headline SkyDrive 2022, Sept. 9-11, at the London International Airport in Ontario, Canada. They are the newest addition to the list of performers for Canada's original drive-in air show.
CELEBRATING THE U.S. AIR FORCE'S 75TH ANNIVERSARY
Airshow London welcomes back the team as SkyDrive celebrates the U.S. Air Force's 75th anniversary. The air show will offer a line-up of Canadian and American Forces aircraft. Additional performers include the United States Air Force F-22 Raptor demonstration, CF-18 Hornet demonstration and the MV-22 Osprey demonstration.
COME MEET THE CREWS
In addition, SkyDrive will feature an impressive ground display of aircraft that fly in and allow fans to get up close and meet the crews. Vendors will also be on hand this year and guests can visit onsite attractions with a new hop-on, hop-off trolley system.
"As an established premier air show in Canada, we look forward to our 2022 event, providing our fans with an unmatched experience," said Gerry Vanderhoek, director of air operations, Airshow London. "We can't wait to host the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, representing the positive reputation Airshow London is creating within North America. With clear skies ahead for 2022 and beyond, we are extremely proud to showcase our SkyDrive event once again."
