GKN Aerospace, based in the United Kingdom, has been named a supplier of Gulfstream Aerospace's all-new Gulfstream G800 and Gulfstream G400 business jets. The two jets were recently unveiled by Gulfstream in October of 2021 after a slick social media countdown.RELATED: Gulfstream Aerospace unveils G400 and G800 aircraftProduction will take place in facilities located in the Netherlands, Mexico, and the United States.GKN Aerospace will produce the metal bonded fuselage panels for the body of the G800 and the aluminum machined wing skins for the G400. Thermoplastic technology will be featured on the rudder, elevators from empennage, floorboards.GKN Aerospace has been designing and manufacturing empennages for Gulfstream since 1993, currently working on aircraft like the G500, G600, G650, and G700."We are excited to be selected again as a key supplier on Gulfstream's next generation of business jets and we truly value this partnership of almost 30 years," said John Pritchard, President Civil Airframe of GKN Aerospace.
