Just got back from a tour of Sikorsky's stratford,CT plant- impressed to say the least. The UH-60 line was awesome to see in person, picked up a lot of great info, and it seemed like a great place to work-anyone have any stories/ experience there, or any of their other plants? im pretty interested about their coatesville,PA plant they seem to be hiring alot out there.

| the Coatesville, Pa location is the S-92, S-76 production facility. You should try to get in on the S-92's as the S-76D is not yet certified and the last of the C models are being delivered this month.
it's not a bad place to work, but they do have occasional layoffs, mostly contractors.
No, i do not work there, but i do have a lot of friends that do. pm me if you want more info. |

JMann I had a question about Sikorsky. On the help wanted ads they run. The have " Must pass practical exam before being hired " Do they turn people away at the door? In all my years of working ive never had to take a test. If the shop chief cant figure out you know what your doing in the interview. Maybe they shouldnt be the shop chief. I work avionics. And if some knucklehead ask me to look at a resistor. And tell me what the ohms were by looking at the color code. I would laugh in their face. And say " NO " Thats why I have a ID chart in my tool box |
